Unable to view website front-end
The website front-end is the published version of your website. It is visible to the general public/visitors that access it through their various web browsers.
If you are unable to view your website front-end, start by checking your Admin Panel (website back-end). Confirm the status of “Coming Soon Mode” – How to log into Admin panel (website back-end).
See if there is a “Coming Soon Mode Active” message highlighted in red shown at the top of your page (as shown below).
If this message is visible to the top of your page, this means your “coming soon page” is active. The “coming soon page” allows you to have information about your website available to visitors while you work on your website behind the scenes. The coming soon page mode allows you to display a one page website which allows you to collect visitor information email address prior to your official launch.
When you are ready to make your website live to the public you can simply disable the “Coming Soon Page” on its “settings page”.
Accessing the “Coming Soon Page” settings page
To access the “settings page” ,either click on the “Coming Soon Mode Active” message at the top of your page OR click on “settings” tab in the menu on your left, then click on “Coming Soon” as shown below.
Disabling “coming soon page”
When you are ready to publish your site live, simply click on the “disabled” option then “save all changes”. Once your changes have been saved, your site will be live and accessible to all who visit your web address or domain name.
Limit website access only to me
If you would like to continue working on your website but still be able to access the front-end, click on the “Advanced” tab then enter a phrase to bypass the “Coming Soon page” in the “Front-end View URL” field.
When you enter the phrase click on “Save all changes”
Now you will be able to access your website front-end only via the new URL yourcompany.caribonix.com/ or http:// yourcompany.com/ (if you have already Connected/Mapped an Existing Domain) for roughly six (6) hours. After the time has elapsed or expired you will then need to revisit the “Front-end View URL” which you created above to regain access.
Please Note:
- We use “access” as the default bypass phrase.
- Do not use https:// in front of your website address or domain name only use use http://
